DIFFERENT PHOSPHORUS DOSES IN GRAIN SORGHUM UNDER CERRADO CONDITIONS, GOIÁS, BRAZIL
نویسندگان
چکیده
Sorghum bicolor is an important grain species used for food and feed production, where P a key element/nutrient in production. The effect of increasing phosphorus doses to sorghum Cerrado soil with sandy texture low fertility conditions was evaluated. study conducted at the Pântano Farm, Jataí, Goiás, Brazil. cultivar AG 1085. 0 (control), 40, 80, 120, 160 kg ha-1 P2O5 were used, whose source triple superphosphate 46% P2O5, five replications each, designed random blocks. evaluated variables stem length, diameter, leaf area, shoot dry mass, content, nutrient accumulation, fertilization efficiency, chlorophyll a, b. For mass (g plant-1), expressed (kg ha-1), b (CFI), application had linear effect. analysis variance regression showed quadratic use showing maximum point best dose values of variables. Phosphorus influenced development cultivar. 129 highest efficiency corresponding 82.02%.

متن کاملPyrophosphate as a Source of Phosphorus: Hydrolysis under Different Conditions
Polyphosphates are occasionally added to the soils as a phosphate source for plant nutrition. Polyphosphates (e.g. pyrophosphates) may be more economical due to their smaller volume and low transportation costs. Pyrophosphates (PP) are water-soluble and their condensed nature results in higher P analyses. However, it is observed that PP is a relatively ineffective source of P for plants prior t...
متن کاملEvaluation of grain yield in sorghum hybrids under water stress.
Sorghum grain yield can be significantly affected by climatic changes, especially drought and high temperature. The purpose of this study was to evaluate hybrids of grain sorghum grown under normal irrigation conditions or water stress in order to select those likely to be more tolerant of drought. Forty-nine hybrids were grown in a randomized block design experiment, with three replications. T...
متن کاملSeed Characteristics of Different Varieties of Grain Sorghum
Eight varieties of grain sorghum representing four different seed classes (Waxy, Waxy-BR, Normal, Normal-BR) were wet-milled to study seed composition (percent starch, bran and germ, peripheral endosperm cells-PEC and gluten). Starch recovery was high and similar for all varieties except the Waxy 1126 and Normal-BR ROKY 78. Depression in starch recovery was reflected in the other fractions, par...
متن کاملPhosphorus use efficiency, grain yield, and quality of triticale and durum wheat under irrigated conditions
After nitrogen stress, phosphorus is the second most widely occurring nutrient deficiency in cereal systems around the world. The objectives of this study were: (1) to look at the effect of changes in phosphorus use efficiency and responsiveness on grain yield and quality of triticale and durum wheat with respect to an old tall durum wheat of the early 1940s, Barrigon Yaqui. A two-year field ex...
